Being a volunteer is an amazing life changing experience. It is only nine days out of your life and raising the required amount of €3000.00 gets you on the trip - The amount you have to raise may seem a lot of money but it’s amazing once you start to fundraise how many  people will come on board to help you, family friends, work etc.

We have a serious mission to build a Hospital in Tayr Harfa, which is East of Naqoura, in South Lebanon and this means that every volunteer has to take the goal of the trip seriously.

It will be hard work fundraising for this goal but it will also be great fun with fantastic spirit and good humour. The incentive for our fundraising will be a week's visit to the Biblical City of Byblos and a first hand visit to the Hospital Site .

A WEBPAGE FREE OF CHARGE TO HELP WITH YOUR FUNDRAISING
The Irish Lebanon Project can now offer our volunteers a live web page to assist them in their fundraising.  Your personal fundraising page is the best way to raise money for charity. Creating your page is simplicity itself. Just email your friends with the link to the page and they can donate by credit or debit card. The money goes securely to the mycharity.ie account and then on to the Irish Lebanon Project account where it is credited to you. It couldn’t be easier or safer for both you and the Irish Lebanon Project.

You design the page yourself and let the world know what you are doing to raise your funds.  You also have control over the updating of your page.

Why not get started now by clicking the link below and get your fundraising webpage up and running.
After you have submitted your application form and fundraised the required amount of €3000.00, you will fly to Lebanon from Dublin for St. Patrick's Week in 2009.  You will be accommodated in modern hotels in the Old City of Byblos, Tyre and Beirut.

We will also be taking a selection of Irish Bands and singers to compliment the festivities and to promote St. Patricks week in Lebanon.  Our week will include a batch of Irish Culture with ceol, caint agus craic, not to mention Irish Grub.

During the week we will visit the Hospital where your fundraising will be at work.  You will see the Hospital in progress and you might even get the opportunity to pick up a shovel.

We will also organise a tour for you to explore some of the magical and exotic sites in Lebanon.  We are sure that you will return again with us year after year having had this wonderful experience by way of your help to the people of Lebanon.

Project Volunteers in Lebanon for St. Patrick's Week as guests of Madam Alice Eddé of Byblos and her Manager Mr. Bassem
WE NEED PAINTERS AND UPHOLSTERS FOR A JOB IN LEBANON IN OCTOBER 2008
The Irish Lebanon Project are currently canvassing for Volunteer Painters and Upholsters for a job in the Village of Haitoura which is East of Sidon.

Haitoura enjoys a fine location overlookong several Villages below it.   The visitor can enjoy a breath-taking view of the surrounding villages scattered about a fertile plain and protected by mountains covered with pine forests, vineyards and orchards.

The Village has approached the Irish Lebanon Project and has asked us to assist it in painting the local Church and to Upholster some of the seats.  The Irish Lebanon Project will undertake this project with the help of Irish Volunteers.  We will also employ local workers to assist us in this task
